The Ancient Egyptians kept many animals as household pets, including cats, dogs, monkeys, gazelles, and birds.

Pets were not only present as paintings or models. The mummified bodies of pets have also been found in tombs. A certain Hapymen, buried at Abydos, was so fond of his pet dog that it was mummified and wrapped in linen, and placed at the side of his feet in his coffin

The most amusing fish in the world

This is not a bath towel. Please don’t step on it!!!

At a quick glance, one could easily mistook this Sharpei for a towel. The Sharpei is a Chinese breed dog that is well known for its distinctive features of deep wrinkles (towel look) and a blue black tongue. As puppies, Sharpei have numerous wrinkles but will disappear once they mature. It is also once named as one of the world’s rarest dog breeds by Time magazine and the Guiness Book of World Records.

The stunning photos show two bottlenose  dolphins chasing down a tasty fish dinner. And after hunting out the salmon dish they celebrated by throwing it about between them before wolfing it down.
